What personal data we process when you use this website or book a trip, why we process it and what your rights are.
Who we are
The data controller is SC Travel Delta Star SRL, VAT number RO33982696, trade register no. J36/12/16.01.2015, registered office Strada a II-a nr. 282, Sulina, Tulcea County, Romania. You can contact us at contact@traveldeltastar.ro or on 0752 917 592.
What data we process
When you visit the website
For operation and security, the server automatically logs your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are not public and are kept for no more than 6 months. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the website working and secure (Article 6(1)(f) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the GDPR).
The website has no forms and does not ask you for personal data. Fonts and pier maps are hosted on our own server, so nothing loads from third parties.
Visitor statistics
Only if you agree in the cookie window, we use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit the website and which pages they read. Google Analytics does not store your full IP address. The provider is Google Ireland Limited; data may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. Details in our Cookie policy.
The video on the Fleet page
The video on our Fleet page is hosted on YouTube (Google). Until you click it, you only see a photo served from our own server and nothing is sent to YouTube. When you start it, the YouTube player loads in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and Google may process your IP address and store information in your browser, under its own privacy policy. The legal basis is your action of starting the video (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
When you book by phone
To book, we note your name, phone number, the number of passengers, the date and time of the trip and where you get on and off. We use this data only to reserve your seat and to tell you if anything changes about your trip. The legal basis is entering into and performing the transport contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep the data for as long as the trip requires and then for as long as tax and accounting law requires, if we issue tax documents.
When you email us
We use your address and the content of your message to reply. We keep the correspondence for as long as your request needs.
Who receives the data
We do not sell or rent personal data. Data may reach our web hosting provider, Google (statistics only with your consent, and the video only if you start it) and public authorities when the law requires it.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability and to object to processing. You can withdraw your consent to statistics at any time. For any of these requests, write to contact@traveldeltastar.ro; we reply within one month.
If you believe we infringe your rights, you can lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro).
