The Tulcea – Sulina route

The boat runs down the Sulina branch, the straightest arm of the Danube, all the way to where the river meets the sea. It is about 70 kilometres, which we cover in around 90 minutes.

Stops along the way

Between Tulcea and Sulina we only stop if someone is getting on or off: at the villages below or at any other pier where the boat can moor safely, including the private piers of hotels and guesthouses. Tell us when you book where you board and where you leave, so the skipper knows.

Departure times and fares

On the way and in Sulina

Sulina is Romania's easternmost town: the old lighthouse of the European Danube Commission, Saint Nicholas Cathedral and the long riverside promenade are a short walk from the pier.
